Revamp Weapon/Offhand Customization
I'm a bit tired of repeating this on every:
- Customize offhand items
- Customize <weapon name> changes.
So I'll post it separately, since it's a separate idea.
After reading hundred of 'customization 'suggestions, I ended up that the best choice would be something like this:
- One handed weapons (and wands and daggers, and maybe scythes too): keep the +20% damage.
- Two handed weapons (but not daggers and staves): +33% damage.
- Shields: +2..4 Armor
- Foci: +1..3 energy.
- Staves: +2..5 energy instead of +20% damage.
With this, we make much things:
- We give foci the option of being customized. For more versatility, and to make promotional items a bit better. All PvP items come customized, so no problem for them
- To compensate 1-hand weapons having something extra in the other hand, we give two handed ones +13% damage to get +33%. I think daggers should be left out, since they are already vulcan machine guns of hits, and have double hits. If this is too much for Scythes too, we may consider leaving the +33% for hammers and bows only. Specially bows, they are a bit 'left out'.
- If people needs to 'wand' enemies, the extra energy for customization will be in the foci, and the extra damage damage in the wand.
- If people want to focus on energy, they could use +15+5^50%+5customized energy staves instead of wands.
Of course, the figures I suggest are not definite. Do not hesitate to suggest a better balance (as long as it is not "leave as it is" that is not the point of the thread, XD)
The main point would be to allow offhand customization, and the second to compesate weapons to match this customization, specially since PvP and preorder offhands come custmized.
